Hartford Civic Society wishes to be totally open about how it operates and therefore intends to define certain policies and make them available here.

Privacy Policy

Hartford Civic Society respects the privacy of its subscribers. As part of our commitment to you, we want to clarify how we will use your personal information (such as your name, address, telephone number and email address).

If you are a subscriber we collect personal information solely in order to manage your details and payment of annual subscriptions, and to communicate with you about the Society’s business and news.

By providing your email address you consent to the Society sending you newsletters and information relating to your subscription and the business of the Society via email. You may at any time ask for your email address to be removed from our mailing list.

The Society will never supply e-mail addresses to any third party.

The Society will only disclose other personal details to third parties where it is strictly necessary for the management of your subscription and that disclosure is implicit in the provision of information (e.g. account details to a bank when setting up standing orders).

All officials of the Society, who have access to, and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of our subscribers' personal data.

We ensure that your personal data will not be disclosed to State institutions and authorities except if required by law or other regulation.

The Society's website collects non personal usage statistics only. These are used for monitoring of traffic levels and the popularity of individual web pages as part of the management of the website. We do not collect information that allows us to uniquely identify users.

We do not use cookies on our Web site.

Our Web site includes links to third party Web service providers. These links are provided as a service to our visitors only. All third party sites are outside the control of the Society.
