Welcome to the Civic Society Website for the Cheshire village of Hartford
Hartford Civic Society came into being in 2003, when Hartford Village Trust, which was founded in 1998, was renamed.
We are a registered charity and our aims are to help improve the village of Hartford and to help protect its identity.
The future identity of Hartford is protected by its Neighbourhood Plan, which Hartford Civic Society and Hartford Parish Council worked together to produce.

The Society has a committee of Trustees, (see the Contacts page), and is financed by subscriptions from its Supporters.
This website consists of a Home Page with a message board, aimed at keeping members updated on what is happening in the village, plus a large selection of pages which give the reader a potted history of Hartford as well as other useful information.
